Interactions with this website’s agents may be recorded for service operation and private review by Fan Yao. Please do not submit passwords, API keys, confidential manuscripts, or sensitive personal information.

Paper-agent logs

Questions you ask in Faro about one specific paper are answered by the paper engine (formerly the separate paper rooms). Existing paper-agent logging can include your question, the agent’s answer, the paper and conversation identifier, timestamp, response status, recorded token usage, IP address and approximate location when available. An interaction can generate separate forwarding and answer events; an unanswered event does not imply a successful model call. The private dashboard reads existing logs without creating a new permanent copy or changing their current retention settings.

Faro conversation memory

Faro’s optional conversation-memory feature requires an affirmative opt-in. With that consent, the recent conversation is saved for 24 hours and exchanges may remain in owner-only backend memory for up to 90 days. Clearing the conversation does not delete that retained backend memory. This memory is not retrieved for other visitors’ answers or used for training by this site.

Without that opt-in, Faro does not save a conversation transcript to its research-memory database. Operational usage and cost metadata are separate from conversation memory. Messages explicitly delegated to Fan are also separate and follow the notice shown when you submit them. If you add a name or an email address to such a message, it is stored with the message in Fan’s private inbox so that Fan can reply personally; it is not used for anything else.

Private review and your choices

Saved questions and answers can be searched and viewed in Fan’s authenticated private dashboard. IP addresses and location are not returned to that dashboard’s conversation viewer. Test-marked traffic is distinguished from unclassified traffic; a conversation or IP address is not a verified count of people. Visitor statements and agent-generated ideas are not automatically treated as Fan’s views or added to public knowledge, and this archive is not automatically supplied to the research worker.

This page and the footer are information notices, not an assertion that merely visiting the site constitutes consent. They do not enable new transcript collection or replace Faro’s existing opt-in. For questions about a saved interaction, contact Fan through the contact details on the homepage; include the agent or paper name and approximate date, but do not send access tokens or secrets.
